How would you feel if someone you were dating asked you to get tested for an STD? Would you be offended? Would you be down to get tested?

My parents taught me this is what I was always supposed to ask, and that I should expect or offer the same. I wouldn't be offended by it.

Honestly, both.

Testing for STDs is a necessary thing. Let's face it, at some point the subject of intimacy will enter the fray. But i would be offended only if there was a thought that i somehow have the intention to harm her as her reason for asking.

In a relationship you are supposed to trust each other. How ever trust is earned so if my significant other asked me to take one I would take it gladly knowing that he values his body and I am building trust.

I won't mind... having never caught anything my entire life, I have no concerns in taking a test.. but I will also request one from my bed mate.

If I were asked to get tested I wouldn't be offended. I would whip out my results from the last time I was tested and ask if he/she wanted something more recent. If so, I would get tested again, provided that my partner get tested as well. I don't want to ruin my clean streak by misplacing my trust.
