TREE OF LIFE: Jesus (Joshua)
The first clue to the identity of the Tree of life in the OT is found in Proverbs then in Matthew chapter 12.
“The fruit of the righteous is a Tree of life” (Proverbs 11:30)
Now this is important because righteousness in Egypt is an adjective of Maat, the Criminal Justice System in Egypt, its own version of Law & Moral Order. Shu is the tree of life and sometimes hold the feather of truth. Shu’s twin is Tefnut (Tree of knowledge), blind folded holding up the Balance scales of Maat for judgement of departed souls.
The Jews wanted to eat of The Tree of life (Shu) but it was incomplete without eating of his Twin Tefnut (knowledge of Good/Evil).
Christian commentators and historians equate Jesus with the Tree of life.
The names Joshua and Jesus have the same meaning of “Salvation”. Many of the early Church Fathers of the second and third centuries AD refer to Joshua and Jesus as one and the same.
“Joshua’s name signified a deity known as “Shu” who was worshipped by Israelites as a cult figure” 101 myths of the Bible By Gary Greenberg p.255
The scholars and academics are half way there by associating Jesus with Shu as the Tree of life. They all just have to make the next great leap and bring in Shu’s twin Tefnut as the Tree of knowledge. Christianity is a repudiation of Jewish dietary laws so the ban on the fruit of the tree of knowledge is no longer in effect. The Church in Sardis deeds were incomplete, they were not woke up neither alive nor dead but sleep with their eyes closed and soiled clothes (Rev 3: 1-6). This clearly reverses what happened in the Garden where their eyes were opened, realized (woke up) they were naked with no clothes (Genesis 3:6-7). The Church in Philadelphia some were saved from a “trial” but the others were completely the deeds of Satan and the Church in Laodicea were like Adam & Eve not realizing they were blind and naked. Some of them were balanced because of its allusion to “Lukewarm” which I advanced the theory it was based on “Tefnut”. However, some of the people are rebuked and disciplined and given clothes to cover their “nakedness” and salve for the eyes so they can open their eyes. This again is giving off much allusion on Genesis 3:6-7 just like some of the church members in Sardis.

I loved writing this essay because I can demonstrate that other parts of Revelations chapter 3 were giving allusions to the Tree of life & Good/Evil prior to speaking to the Church in Laodicea.
