Broken English is a term used to describe hesitant or badly structured English

What is "hesitant or badly structured English?"
Provide examples.

Ebonics is broken English and In my humble opinion. We do need to stay away from using such terms and speaking in that manner. We already have very bad communication skills ( verbal and writing ) when we are interacting with each other.

What do you base this conclusion on?

By using slang and/or Ebonics we have more room for misunderstanding.

1- Example: Ize kowzs chatry todo dare, notz woks.
2- Example: @ gnr 4rm !m &e %3ll =$*!L3D &% #!M

The second one my daughter had to write. lol But you get the picture.

Now, please know I am not saying if a person talked with broken English that they are stupid, unintelligent or otherwise. However, If they had the cure for cancer, Could they simply relay it ??

Writing skills and speaking skills can be taught to anybody. ( That's another mistake we seem to make often. )

However, WE MUST LEARN HOW TO COMMUNICATE WELL. How could we look for solutions if we have a hard time comprehending each other because of language barriers that are created ??

I think it's already problematic and broken English adds more frustrations and strains.

What do you base this conclusion on??

I base my conclusions on my experience , Educational field both formal and otherwise. Observations , travels and environment and Over 20 years experience working with troubled children. And just my perspective with all those things combined.

Please present your stance as I answered all your questions.

Thanks.

Where are these inner city youths you speak of brother ??

In Chicago, in B'kyln, in Atlanta, In Charleston, In Charlotte, In Queens, Manhatten, Cali, Texas, Florida, DC ..............That's not so.

I wish our youths understood and practice the 7 principles of Kwanza.

But Lets Keep trying.

These kids have a language of thier own. And it's usually to keep the parents in the dark even when they see such codes in the phones, and on the internet.

If you don't beleive me, just check out my space pages. Especially the pages of kids under age 18. No need to put suger in the pot, If it's stew , it's stew. Please share with me where are these youths ??

Thanks and Peace

Right here in Do or Die Bed Stuy Brooklyn NYC, so it's probably occuring all over Brooklyn, and Harlem as well.

Dear Heart the youth and the streeters, and crimies are tired of the BS and the okiedoke, they have children too that they want to see have a better future,
but they want and need more brothers and sisters like those in the churches and masjids who volunteer to help, to care also

alot of the sisters and brothers in the churches and masjids were "out there" at one time so they know how to speak, "their" language without condesencing, and help point a way out without proselatyzing religion.

remember many Black church have always had "Faith Based Initiatives" from community funds , long before the handing out of plantation money from Bush and co., to the big name publicity houses of Churchianity

Now all is not rosey, they are still calling each other the N word going to and coming from school.
it's a slow process because we have no nationwide, statewide or city wide Black organizations focused on the youth and their acheivement and enrichment.
The Black wealthy of the 60s and 70s that opened thier homes to teach Black culure and African history have died off and the new rich , only want to enjoy their riches, or haved moved out of the city

...But you get the picture

Please provide other examples.
Please provide examples of "unbroken English."
By the way would "blkbutterfly" rather than "black butterfly" be an example of "broken English?"

However, If they had the cure for cancer, Could they simply relay it?

There are some that would say your statement isn't grammatically correct, do you agree with them?

How could we look for solutions if we have a hard time comprehending each other because of language barriers that are created??

There are some who would also say that this statement is not grammatically correct, do you agree with that notion?

Speaking of language barriers, do you believe that black people all over the world should adopt "unbroken English?"

I base my conclusions on my experience...

Some would say that perhaps you need to travel more, experience more, and work more, do you agree?
