Okay.. I'm "all wrong", so what's right?
before i try this, let me first say this: don't take it personal - you didn't invent that which i stated as being "all wrong" - you're only helping to perpetuate it since that is what this mess says must be done.

"what's right" is a system of cooperation amongst all the lifeforms of this planet - but mankind, for the most part, can't quite wrap it's little self-centered mind around that concept anymore.

set me straight..answer
me this:

1. How would the system of living that you are suggesting actually work?
think about it: all the stuff that is needed to create this current "system of living" was here long before mankind came into the picture. and when man did show up, we came equipped with all the tools needed to figure out how to get things moving. none of which we had anything to do with thinking up. therefore, how does anyone come off thinking they can create a "value system" around stuff that was here before we showed up?

since all the stuff was already there, and all we had to do was stumble around and "discover" that "this works wonders for doing this" and that "you need some, i need some, they need some; can't none of us put it together all by ourselves, reckon we best team up and build it together". this worked wonderfully for millennium as life grew communities, raised babies and perpetuated itself; capitalism not required. (yeah, "animals" do all the stuff that we built all this mess to do and did not have to pollute nothing!)

2. How would you suggest we transition from the current system to the one you're thinking of?
peace.
this one is much easier to "answer": the only way to transition from this system to something sensible is for this one to complete it's death throws, spend a bunch of time doing without all the stuff that mankind thinks is "important", "inevitable" and "necessary" and grow back to the True.

it might be possible to make this "transition"/return a little bit easier ... maybe.

the "Planetary Have-Not Community" has been doing it's/our best to do this for as long as "the current system" has been kicking us to the curb. even in spite of our system-inflicted shortage/denial of resources, we've been getting by the best way we can. now, of course "the current system" is going to "report" on the "atrocities" that some of us do in our efforts to emulate "the current system", but for the most part, we've learned that fighting/stealing/killing amongst ourselves only keeps everybody short. when we work together as a community, even one that is woefully short of what "y'all" call the "necessities", we find that we can, actually, find peace, prosperity and happiness in our shortages amongst this "land of plenty". as this "current system of living" continues to increase our population (how far away are the "working poor" from joining our ranks? how far are "you" from the ranks of the "working poor"?), there will be more and more of the planetary population learning, and living, these lessons. eventually, we'll be a majority of the planet living in a much more cooperative, communal (no, don't think "communism" or "socialism" - that's the "thinking" resulting from this mess) and peaceful manner.

as they say "necessity is the mother of invention" ... or in this case re-invention ... which, then is not actually "invention" after all, is it. it would be a return to the original.

but like "they" say: "if "you" have to ask the question, "you" wouldn't/couldn't understand the answer". sorry, that ain't me being whatever it is you want to call me, that's just the way it is.

Peace

Capitalism is anti-egalitarianism: Or competition over working toward mutual benefit. The global monetary system is reaching its maximum limits. Prove of this is what’s happening in northern Africa, or Wisconsin.

The current system is on self destruct, we can’t eat money, so when this Capitalist system falls. We will have the opportunity to revert back to a more natural system of give and take. Where the bank does not control the market place, people and their natural needs will. We have grown up in this current system, so it’s hard for us to see it any other way. But if one lives among the so called, undeveloped countries, one can easily see how we work together for a common benefit. Trading goods and services among ourselves instead of exchanging money for them, there for keeping the banks and money makers out of the equation. In becoming large city states we have undone the need for face to face interaction. Humans have become more interested in accumulating wealth than in maintaining a balanced life full of personal spiritual growth and well being. This nations obsession with material goods have replaced our need for genuine personal interactions.

Coming back to a more balanced life style with out the money-makers pressure to produce more and more is not going to be that difficult. Our huge cities will have to be dismantled to provide for more farming spaces. We will have to drop our dependents on oil companies for energy use. The fast pace world around us will have to slow down. The rich will have to work as hard as we do. We will have to keep the greedy from getting more then they really need, as we used to do back in Africa.
