Evolution is universal and for life you need water. The basic condition is the same. Again for life to happen similar conditions as on earth must be present. If you look at chaos theory everything in nature or in the universe can be reduced to fractals and fractals are simply pattern than repeats itself (this is why a human is nothing but a collection of cells like a giant coherent colony of bacteria). So if there's Intelligent alien out there the expectation is that it will be humanoid. Note the word expectation. The beauty of science is that it allows you to form an idea of the unknown based on fact, a tower of mostly accurate knowledge. You still can be wrong though.

scientists used to say that sunlight is needed for life....
but there are animals in the deep sea that live off of methane gas bubbling from out out the sea floor...
if u want to go off of the white mans science then i'll leave u with this...
