Funny thing is Jesus faced these same type of questions, when the Jews wanted to see if he'd let them stone a woman to death.

It was just an example of something being wrong, in the Bible, and condoned by Christianity. How many of us would've wanted to live in a society with stoning an acceptable thing to do over something like virginity or working on the Sabbath?
