Black People : Thinking Proactive, is a sin against White Supremacy

Your FOX news like response was interesting. Have you forgotten the Nation of Islam was prevalent and rose to prominence in nationalism around that period?

And...lets not forget the Black Arts Movement...the Black Campus Movement...the Black Power Movement...the Black Consciousness Movement...the Black Liberation Movement....etc...

Perhaps you need to turn off the cartoon channel and pick up a book. The NOI is and never was a black nationalist organization. Black nationalism does NOT require that one be a Muslim or of ANY faith. Unlike the NOI.

And no matter what the Looney Tunes folk tell you, while the NOI may have been around, it was NOT a force in the black community until Malcolm became their national spokesperson. And if you want to insist that it was, what was the NOI's position on Emmit Till, murdered in the 1950's? What did they say black people should do about it?

Pick up a book. Or better, ask somebody who wasn't "yah suhing" Mr. Charlie while black people about something were digging the trenches. :SuN011:

When Tommy and Carlos hoisted those black-gloved fists at the Olympics, only 5% of black people had college degrees. There was no black campus movement or any of the above in the 1950s.[/b]
