I found another article that proves it originates with Elijah Muhammad himself.

Bearing witness to the reality of the Mother Plane

In the October 6, 1992 issue of The Final Call newspaper I wrote:
"Approximately 30 years ago, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad made public the fact that Allah made Major Donald E. Keyhoe bear witness to some of the truth of the planes He produced."
The article continued:
"What follows is from a MUFON conference, held in Dayton, Ohio, during July 29th and 30th of 1978 from a paper presented by Major Keyhoe titled: "Behind The UFO Secrecy."
"He stated: ‘The UFO cover-up is the greatest deception in the history of the United States.
" ‘Even President Carter has been unable to secure hidden UFO information. Last year, Carter tried to obtain an evaluation of UFO evidence from NASA—the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Under CIA pressure, Administrator Robert Frosch rejected the President’s request.’
" ‘We do not have a single credible report,’ " he insisted.
" ‘This was absolutely false. NASA has many verified reports by astronauts and other competent observers. AF Major General James McDivitt, former astronaut, encountered a UFO while circling the Earth. Before it veered away he got a clear photograph. He recently revealed that a faked picture of no importance was given to the press. The genuine photo, he said, is still hidden by NASA. Colonel Gordon Cooper, another former astronaut, has disclosed several of his confirmed sightings, also his attempts to close in on UFOs while he was an AF jet pilot. He is now strongly attacking the secrecy.
" ‘President Carter is still swamped with demands that he keep his campaign promise and release all hidden UFO evidence. The CIA may persuade him to wait until the AF has all the answers. But some of my Pentagon sources believe Carter will defy the CIA and give the AF a hard-boiled order to present him with all concealed UFO information." (AF stands for Air Force).
"Remember, the above excerpt from Major Keyhoe’s presentation was in 1978. President Carter, according to many others, was never allowed to get the government’s secrets concerning the ‘UFOs,’ despite being commander in chief."
These are those who speak as if they have inside information which justifies them in saying that Mr. Jimmy Carter, while president, was outright hindered, even privately opposed and not allowed to get the truth the government has about these "UFOs." If this is so then he was the commander in chief—up to a point. He was the leader of the western world—up to a point. What of the other presidents? Who are the real powers ruling this world? What do they use to both rule and yet hide themselves? Is their exposure today at the root of the intense persecution, now going on against the Nation of Islam, led by Minister Farrakhan—which may get worse?

Then in an article, which appeared in the November 16, 1992 issue of The Final Call) I wrote:
"We continue with the subject of the reality of what white people began calling ‘UFOs.’ Again, I am drawing on a little of what Allah blessed me to gather from the "UFO" conference which took place in Germany, in 1989, when I accompanied Brother Wali Muhammad and Mother Tynnetta Muhammad—a trip financed by Minister Farrakhan. The article read:
"Eleven years ago, in 1981, at a MUFON conference held at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a Mr. Peter A. Gersten (an attorney-at-law) presented a paper entitled: ‘What the Government Would Know about UFOs If They Read Their Own Documents.’
"Part of his paper states: ‘May I remind the reader that much has been released, uncovered, seen, heard, and felt during the last eleven years that compels any sane mind to admit that there are planes flying above America and the nations of the earth, that were built and launched by secret powers from and of the earth, over which the United States, Russia, Great Britain-in short, none of the Nations of this world have any power to shoot down, control or in any way interfere with. What follows are the opening words of that paper:
‘As you just read, Mr. Gersten stated that these planes " ... were built and launched by secret powers from and of the earth ... ." This is a very interesting statement. How did he come by this information?
As you may know, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad repeatedly stated, as the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan does now, that Ezekiel’s vision of a wheel like plane is a reality today. It is up in the sky. This government, or certain persons in the government know this, but have worked as hard as they can to hide what they know from the public or at least confuse or blur the subject in the mind of the public.
Allah showed this plane to Prophet Ezekiel a long time ago. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad cited words in the book of Ezekiel, which he said shows that this plane would be secretly designed, financed, built and launched from the earth. This has now happened.
I have no idea how Mr. Gersten arrived at the conclusion he stated that these planes "... were built and launched by secret powers from and of the earth ... ." But, he is right. (The emphasis on his words are mine.)
The question is: What is the relevance of his statement, which corresponds to that of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, for our lives, the lives of our loved ones and the destiny of America and why must we consider this subject, which bears directly on the person and work of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, at this time—the end of June, 2001?
At the end of the eighth chapter of Where Is The Honorable Elijah Muhammad?,written in 1995, I wrote:
"I interviewed Minister Abdul Rahman (of Georgia) for this book. That interview appears in full in Where is the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Book Two. Meanwhile, in response to my question: ‘Have you ever heard him (the Honorable Elijah Muhammad) speak about the Mother Plane? What were among the most interesting things you ever heard him say about it?’
"Minister Rahman answered: ‘I think that the most interesting thing that stuck in my mind was that one minister—I can’t recall who he was—he tried to suggest to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that the Mother Plane might be a myth, or spiritual, a spiritual, something, that was not physical. And the Honorable Elijah Muhammad got quiet. His eyes got sharp. He stared at the brother and told him, ‘The Mother Plane is nothing to be played with, brother. It’s for real.’ That stuck in my mind for a long time. It’s still there.
"I can see the look now that he gave this brother. ‘Cause the brother was trying to—he had disbelief in the Plane. And he tried to ask the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was that just spiritual teaching, you know, about a spiritual thing that was not also physical. And the Messenger got quiet, and tightened his jaws and looked at the brother real sharp, and told him it was not to be played with."
Don’t fool yourself. It’s not reel. It’s real!

No doubt that interpetation and perception means everything But from what I gather nothing was hidden in The honorable Eljiah Muhammad
teaching abut the Mother Plane/ Ship.
