Well,...Dr. Nkrumah did state clearly that only a Union Government could effectively deal with the threat to Africa posed by Israel.

As far as I can recall, Nkrumah did not explain in detail zionism as it relates to imperialism.

This is a historical problem considering that the foremost pan Africanist Edward W. Blyden promoted the idea of zionism as advocated by weizman and smuts. Even in brother Malcolm's day there was no clear critique of zionism.

The only black nationalist/Pan Africanist organizer/leader who consistenly spoke concerning zionism was Kwame Ture.

I dont know how to go further on this with you without the risk of you taking my points personal because the hard reality is Black folks who adhere to christianity are pro-zionist. Black church delegations make pilgrimages to the holy land daily. Every black christian minister i watch on trinity broadcasting (except Fred Price) at some point demonize the Palestinians. The white chrisitans such as pat robertson and jack van impe make a living on pushing pro-zionist apocaylptic gospel feeding into the zionist hype. And these folks also denounce Obama as illuminati as well.

If the black church does not do its own due diligence on the pitfalls of zionism, dont expect the rest of black folks to do so. It doesnt matter what the rest of us think if the Afrucan Union government is not in place. All we can do is protest, and that has never been effective.

Zionism is apartheid but for most Africans its no longer our problem. Or so we think.

Last week when i had dinner with my homeboy in town from South Africa, our Palestinian host and his wife were relating how some people they know have been rounded up at "random" the last few years soley on the basis of having Islamic names. It reminded me of how a few years ago some other folks we know from Kenya were rounded up for some film projects they were involved in. This included sister Julie Dash.

The struggle in Africa is how to distinguish between the religions denomination and the fascist, political movement.

The Zionist Churches proliferated throughout southern Africa, and became African Independent Churches; research in 1996 suggested that 40% of all black South Africans belonged to a Zionist church.

The church is unrelated to the Jewish political movement of Zionism.

Israel was tonight under pressure to allow an independent inquiry into its assault on the Gaza aid flotilla after autopsy results on the bodies of those killed, obtained by the Guardian, revealed they were peppered with 9mm bullets, many fired at close range.

Nine Turkish men on board the Mavi Marmara were shot a total of 30 times and five were killed by gunshot wounds to the head, according to the vice-chairman of the Turkish council of forensic medicine, which carried out the autopsies for the Turkish ministry of justice today.

The results revealed that a 60-year-old man, Ibrahim Bilgen, was shot four times in the temple, chest, hip and back. A 19-year-old, named as Fulkan Dogan, who also has US citizenship, was shot five times from less that 45cm, in the face, in the back of the head, twice in the leg and once in the back. Two other men were shot four times, and five of the victims were shot either in the back of the head or in the back, said Yalcin Buyuk, vice-chairman of the council of forensic medicine.
