Atlanta, Georgia
she was a small town debutante
with dreams of the big city
from eye candy to arm trophy
she was addicted to feeling pretty

she flirted with disaster
he knew she couldn't be trusted
but she was so sexy
and desperate
that his appetite for her grew
destructive

his poison of choice
was this volatile temptress
she agreed to play her part
so long as he paid her price:
commitment

no band-aids at home
she searched for healing in clubs
she stopped dancing to follow him
'cause the pole wasn't big enough
to cover her wounds

soon he showered her with money
making it rain on her pity party
she paraded in his shadow
dressed in Ed Hardy

a diva with designer names
to cover her frame
all she wanted was structure
a family was her fantasy
but vanity distracts her lover

his pockets couldn't fund
the spark missing from her heart
a star that doesn't twinkle
can hardly survive the dark
without getting lost

she found herself divorced
he found someone else
she keeps searching for a father
with no men to help
