is on the rise, well funded and well organized, and focused

1. Affirmative action thron out the window as the economy declines and jobs become scarce

2. Defacto resegregtion of the schools through the charter system and school closings in Black neighborhoods all across the nation

3. Regentrifacation of Black neighborhoods across the nation and illegal eminent domain scandals

4 Banks refusing to lend to small black businesses

5. Black banks and financial instutions not bailed out and closing, and the railroading and political lnching of Maxine Waters for trying to stop that

6. The disenfrachisement of the root of Black survival, the Black farmers, and the political lynching of Shirley Sherrod

7. The ascendency recently of arch racist politicians and their support nationwide

8. The military industrial complex swooping down on predominantly Black urban high, schools seekin cannon fodder for corporate wars

9. The increase in experimentation on Blacks in hospitals and using us as guinea pigs for untested meds

10. No bailout for Black families defrauded by predatory subrime mortgages

11. the invasion of Black Voices, Black Planet, Afro chat and Destee, by white racists

No literacy test is needed to see this,
and to understand the escalated harm it will cause,
unless we plan for our collective survival, and at least some aspects of self sufficiency

The escalation of unchecked Capitalism becomes the corporate state or Fascism.
The major hallmark of aclimatizing any population towards the gradual acceptance of Fascism is by the dumbing down of the public .

As long as the corporation controls government there can be Fascism even in a peaceful society.

I agree brutha,also Fascism caused growth but however, the same policies that cause growth lead to eventual collapse of these nations. It also failed due to absolute power by one man.Hitler’s rise to power can be credited for many reason,one being he the German middle class a reason why they were having problems, and came up with a solution. The education systyem has been gradually degraded for 50 years, slowly like killing a frog in ater t is used to and gradually heating it up.

This is a good analogy, and I use it many times myself. It IMO correctly explains our condition when it comes to many things that we have been made to accept.

Civics was a subject taught in all schools from the junior High school level on up, and to this day it is practicaly non existant even in charters.

I never had Civics, and I'm not alone.The people of America have become collectively dumb as a nation. Some of us are so brainwashed that we will believe everything the US Elite tells them. This deliberate dumbing down has stripped many of us the ability to think for ourselves,and take responsibility.This assault is taking place in the public school system that is broken. America's school system is broken and throwing money at the problem and does not resolve a situation in which students want to do drugs and sex instead of learn,you have teachers that do not teach but collect their paycheck,what else can you expect?

As mentioned before, serious Black nationalistic preventative/proactive measures, put in check onslaughts of encroaching and iminent reversal of present civil rights laws and the defacto return of seperate and far as hell from equal.
Churches like House of the Lord, with rev Daughtrey actually require a knowledge of civics for membership and like the Black Panther party for Self Defense in the 60s they will tutor one of African descent regarding civics Survival skills have been eroded and in many cases eradicated from not only the public school systyem ut the private schools as well.
Wood, Metal, Electric, and mechaics shop classes as well as home Economics, have beren anihilated leaving young folks without a knowledge of the basic survival skills, making them economic slaves to corporate products and pricing and ignorant in civics to check the encroachment of corporate take over of all levels of government..

They say that knowledge is power,civics IMO is something that it is crucial for people to understand. It deals with civic affairs and the rights and duties of citizens and it effects almost every human being on the planet.I think the study of civics should include the study of history of government, and not just the American government but all governments. Having this knowledge I feel is necessary for establishing why things exist as they currently are, and the battles fought to bring them about.

Look at the sociological indicators.
The forecast of a return to white only towns and areas told to us by Honorable Elijah Muhammed, and Dr Amos Wilson, as a product of a declining and collapsing economy is inevitable.

The point is do we take their advice regarding our own collective preperation not just for survival but a future that our children can thrive in.

I watched the latest discussion on the black agenda that Tavis Smiley puts on and he had Farrakhan on. He said basically that we have to stop looking elsewhere for our betterment and look to ourselves for it because we are seeing the same problems we had decades ago. So we need to start doing for ourselves,and I agree.

See here it is not good to reduce the concept to the television sing song and stage acts put before the public, that is why Mussolini was mentioned.

look at it this way, if an EMS from a hosptal is refused, or allowed only rationed gas for their ambulances in a certain district, and folks are dieing cuase the ambulance takes forever to get there but in other districts gets there in minutes with plenty of gas to spare,
who do you blame?
the driver?
the hospital?

the adjacent real estate tax value alocation system for school funding, which makes sure that ghetto schools get the crumbs from the table and the teachers ae left without resources, and I say this fromm first hand knowledge from working in the then NYC board of education for 7 years.

In fact when I was a child in the 60s parents moved into mixed neighborhoods to ensure their children a better education and the Oean hil Brownsville school boycotts, created the "bus in" situation where Black youth from the "low tax value" areas could get a better education by being bused into predominantly white schools, and although there was no racism from staff or students, The system placed these young sisters and brothers in the "slow" classes, without any previous testing whatsoever

But you see "there" is the big con!,

they would go through all of that rather then change the unfair funding system,
which as mentioned still exists today
