He wrote me a song…
Written from deep within…
His soul….
He told me he loved…
And he wish to have me to hold…

I read his words written down on paper…
More like music to my ears…

It showed his undying love for me…
It showed his fears…
And with that…I shed tears….
The sounds that came from these words…
Just on this flat piece of paper….

It was like a razor tearing into my soul….
And at that point…all I wanted was him to hold…

His words…written down on paper…
Sung me a lullaby…with the background sound
Of a wood pecker pecking on piece of wood…
It told me of the frog who needed a princess to
Turn him back into Robin Hood.
His words…written down on paper…

And I cried…for his love was there…
And I question my love…I questioned if I care…
About these words…written down on paper…

Yet their letters jumped at me…
Relaxed me…
Reassured me…
That he would be there….
They sung me to sleep at night…
When there was no one to hold…
They kept me warm…during the winter cold…
These words written down…on his paper.

And in harmony…
Each mellow tone. Shown in every verse…
I’ve read so many times…you would have thought
I had rehearse the lines…every single one…
Every single time…I read…
His words…written on paper.
