The reclaiming of our right to vote was a step forward again:

But...

Steps backward too...

As in more recent days etc.

What one democrat in the U. S. senate-- and concerned as well as concerned state members of the other party--republicans---the ever growing power grabs--ushered in by big white rich backers of various niche issues etc--pacts and superpacts...

Even during the era of Obama, among those who he appointed to the Supreme Court have pass rulings etc. that makes this less a nation 'by the people/for the people' etc.

We just can't just dwell on the past, ignore what is happening, via the here and now, even during this month...

Always time for us to be getting our minds around what's next for us too...

School regrets Black History menu of chicken, collard greens


The menu screens at the Ohio school also offered mashed potatoes and cornbread under photos of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other black leaders.
