The Bible is my #1 favorite book. The stories written in the Old Testament about Abraham, Moses, David (one of my fav), Solomon, IMO, are unmatched by any of the books I have read. I'm an avid reader.
The New Testament is more instruction than story telling, IMO. I enjoy reading the bible.
I've always been taught, starting with my mother, that to believe in God is an act of faith. There is no proof that God exist, unless you believe he created the earth, the trees, light and dark, green grass, water, and man. There is no proof these were acts of God or some other force that one must also believe in based on a type of faith.
