You give him too much credit here... because homosexuality has been around for quite sometime... even in Africa... ... the category of homosexuality can only exist where there is an oppositional category, heterosexuality, and if neither existed and sex was sex, then these concepts wouldn't even be an issue.

And yes, we can safely give whitey all the credit for the creation of homosexuality. It is truly an original invention of his.

why is it that some of us spend so much energy venting on the evil nature of the white man without taking a closer look at our own role in our demise?? Some of us speak of slavery existing 400 years but what is the timeline that chrionicles this "fact"?? "Slavery" was not even legal in this country until 1690, then was "abolished in 1865. That is a time span of 175 years.

brotha you make a good point, look at the difference between the evolution of hip hop in the east coast and the evolution of rap on the west coast. When the east started hip hop it was pure, it wasnt about how much people you shot or how many women you slept with, it was about reporting the condition of the black community or it was battling other mc's, when the west started rapping it became gangsta rap but why because the west coast is one of the places that suffered the most from government policies which included putting guns and drugs and other ills in the black neibourhoods of the west and thats why west coast rap was and in some cases still is like that. The positives in rap/hip hop came from black folk but the negatives came straight from the white establishment yet its these same whites who have the nerve to start arguments in court like ban rap but the truth is anything negative in rap came from them. A genius inst someone who would try and mix the the unnatural with the natural and then say to the public believe in this, this is what the white man trys to do when he legalises gay marriages, thats not a genius thats someone who is destroying ans disobeying Gods words, anyone who would disobey Gods words is not a genius but clearly a fool because when the wrath of Gods is finally put on them they are gonna wish they never deared disobey God in the first place. So to the black folks who feel this man is a genius i feel sorry for you and really any black person who feels that way is lost or suffering from a low self esteem or has no respect or appriciation from the community they come from, label a man a genius when this same man has caused black folk in particular blackmen so much undeserved suffering and in that state of thinking you offer yourself as a modern day house negro

Check your stats... colored people are the worlds majority. Just guess how many black people there are in Africa. As far as the reproducing thing, it's mythical to believe that gay couples can't or don't make babies. I'm not contending they make babies the hetero-conventional way but they have the parts to and there are more than enough children for all of us to adopt, raise, and make for the consumption and exploitation of capitalism.

If sex: man-man, woman-woman, woman-man all existed at the same time then how can you delinate any of them as "natural" and any other as "perverse"? I contend that the white (I should add: capitalist) hetero-patriarchy created the conception of homosexuality not the act of sex between same sex peoples because it is a threat to its very identity.

Natural? Existing or present in nature. Innate. Not aquired. Not assumed. If you believe one thing is natural, or a natural occurance, then everything is natural because of its very existence in "nature" makes it so. How can something that exists, that is real, that is felt within the human body, not be natural; natural of that thing which it comes from?

Murder, oppression, hate all occur naturally of the human body and the human experience and produce themselves materially--but you'd consider them perverse, or not of nature, right ? Why? Because you think they're bad. So anything you deem bad is not of nature. (Please don't take offense to that shot, I take credit for assuming things, but for argument's sake, it stays.)

And if you believe that nothing is not acquired or not assumed and that nothing is innate, nothing is ordinary, or normal, or inevitable but that which someone makes "natural" then... there allows for a lot more possibility of the things that you deem right and virtuous. You create spaces for experiences to be either/or... both/and...

Oh, and to get back on topic, I do think that the white man has successfully found ways in which to divide us, but more importantly, divide us across lines that we invest so much of our energy in maintaining for him (not a new tactic). Getting rid of those lines would open up possibilities for us all to learn and gain new experience and liberation from, but we can't quite convince each other to make an effort to take a different approach, see things in a way that does not keep each other from living full, automous and complete lives while listening to hip-hop and/or rap, while loving a man either as a woman or as a man, loving a woman either as a man or a woman; while rocking both Afros and our perms and loving those that hate us (the white man); while helping as many people as we can along the way.
