Smile

I smile even though I want to cry
I smile so no one knows what's inside
I smile and laugh even though i'm sad so you will never know my true emotions

Why can't I say when someone hurts me or makes me mad?
why can't I cry when I am sad?
Something inside is afraid, afraid of what, I don't know

I pray to God to help me and
To let me take his gentle hand
To grant me the serenity
to let out what's inside of me

And so today I pray
that the Lord will always stay
In my smile to make it real
In my smile so he can heal
The scars and wounds inside that wont go away
So please, please Jesus please always stay

alwayz inside to stay
keep da faith continue to pray

be not afraid to love again
true love held within
let self emotions flow
let the world know
set one self free
let ya heart come to thee
inside ya smiles
a token of joy
open up let it flow
within da spirit of hope
he will alwayz hold u close
keep smiling keep shining he knows ya heart

be wary of those that smile
in your face and behind your back they talk trash
cause they'll try to take you down
where they are going
fast...
