Nas hadn't really been selling any records until he got with def jam. So his comments, again, are just him doing what his boss tells him to do. It's also free pub for him because he actually likes it when people don't like him. It fuels his creativity and gives him something to write about since all of his friends in Qb have long since abandoned him because of his hypcritical ways.
