I recently got married for the third time. I married a fellow poet from another web site. It's her second marriage. I like the idea of formally annoncing that two people have joined in the union of marriage. When it's on paper and in the public, it is a more secure and bonding relationship. It's practiced in just about all societies.

As for having kids, it definitely is the way to go, ask any little child if they prefer to have their parents together in marriage? I thinks most would say yes, even though among our folks, it's not so common.

Other types of unions are also recognized, and can be equally valid, I lived with my second wife for fifteen years before we were married.
