Is Vegetarianism In Agreement with The Bible?

Everything Jesus said was not a parable . He was talking about eating with unwashed hands and eating certain food wont make you unclean but a man's words can make him unclean, this is made clear when Jesus says in Matthew 15 :17-18 17)" Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18) But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean"

What you’ve posted doesn’t nullifies anything I have posted before, how can you say that a comparison between what a man eats and defecates from his body, and what a man speaks or his action, is not a parabolic analogy? Don’t you know what a parable is? He is saying, what a man eats has nothing to do with his spiritual disposition as such. Or you can’t read a book, by its dietary cover.

If you were to take this saying fully to heart, than why not eat anything that won’t kill you? I don’t see many Christians eating dogs, cats and rats in America. Why not feed this available source of cheap meat to the starving poor, since it is all-clean to the believer? As a matter of fact, you could get arrested for killing and cooking a dog or cat and if you feed rodent to your children you would be also jailed.

If you are using a metaphysical spiritual and moral analogy to compare with the physicality or religious methodology of Jewish law, than you are using the rhetorical context of metaphor or allegory to bridge the two ideas…

You are over complicating something that is very simple .Jesus is clearly saying what you put in your mouth has no bearing over your spiritual cleanliness but rather what comes out of your mouth (i.e. your words) that make you unclean because your words represent what is in your heart , so if your words are all ways evil then you have evil in your heart, this is what Jesus is saying.

Did I just hear somebody (on page 3 line 8) refer to the Bible as "tom-foolery"???

Oh...I'm sure our Christian family would LOVE to hear the explaination for that....if there is one.

I would never call the entire Bible "tom-foolery".
