Black Poetry : Did you miss me?

I wonder if you've missed me
Did you even know I was gone
Or did you just go on about your daily lives
As if I was never even here
I've been gone for quite a while
Getting ready to head back to school
Trying to do the college thing
Signing up and buying books
Preparing for the fall
Haven't had the time for writing
Or even time alone
All my time is spent with friends
Soon they'll be heading back
I'll miss them when they're gone
But they'll be back next year
And we'll do it all again
Now with all that said
The question still remains
Did you miss me while I was gone?

Awww, I know this feeling. Even though you may get busy with so many things, your mind is always with the loved ones you have left somewhere, and you hope they have missed you too... and indeed you were, I'm sure
