...That way we can focus on other things and give religious subjects a rest. If it is as
divisive as many folks believe, then how'bout (I say as a suggestion), Destee lock down
    the religious forum.

    Good idea? Bad idea?

    Your thoughts....

Be they positive critiques or negative critiques?
With a moratorium, we won't even have to worry'bout that.

Anyone out there who disagree, please share.
Don't be so 'anti-'RAPTOR (a little levity). This idea is bigger than me.

If it as divisive as jamesfrmphilly has expressed
in other threads. Someone used the word "stalemate" oft times
resulting from these kinds of discussions, or not than by all
means share your thoughts on the matter.

Nice thought but some here have nothing else to discuss.

And it still wouldn't stop some from injecting religion into other topics. Many here think that "the root of all our evils" is western religion.

If you take religion away from some posters here, they can't discuss their other favorite soap-boxes like: white supremacy/racism, self-hatred or even Africa without touching on religion.

Conversely, as a Christian, my views on different topics are filtered through my spiritual belief and my posts will reflect and denote such.

You may have a point there. But surely we can do 12 months, can't we?

It would certainly be a challenge. We have to start somewhere, no?

So, let us say for example:
We are talking drug selling in the city and why folks sell.
Would you say something along the lines of 'they don't have jesus/'god' in their lives' and then cite a bible verse, or something like that?
That may be a generic/cheesy example, but do you get what I mean? Is that how, or something to that affect, would topics
be filtered through your spiritual belief?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the matter.
    I appreciate it.

Another thought based on your assessments, leads me to wonder that it may be bigger than the subject of religion, that folks like engaging in
controversial dialogue, be they as you put it, "white supremacy/racism, self-hatred", and the likes. What do you think about that?

the problem with black people is not the Christian religion. it is the system of white supremacy.
