Here is another one of my projects.
The InnerCity Empowerment Project, also known as Innercept (ICEP), is a new program that aims to offer both an adolescent and young adult academic environment. Innercept (ICEP) aims to focus on enhancing the life skills of at-risk youth in its co-ed, on-site educational programs. The program plans to accept no more than eight students at a time, and each will be encouraged to experience community building with their peers while balancing school, work and relationships. The goal is to “encourage a balance between physical health and fitness, environment, relationships, self-esteem and values while focusing on the individual needs, strengths and deficits of each student.”Accordingly the strengths of Innercept (ICEP) will be: A comprehensive psychiatric and therapeutic coordination of individual/family needs; groups led by “highly specialized and experienced clinicians” in the areas of psychotherapy, medical/mental health, nutrition, health and fitness, education, leisure, relationships and goals; educational specialists design tailored educational plans to facilitate learning styles and transcript building; a licensed clinical school psychologist; a holistic approach to build support and provide a balanced developmental progress; and weekly updates with program specialists and family. The ICEP Young Adult Program will offer the following: A college type of living arrangement with peers, roommates and authority figures; GED services and/or college courses through a local community college; skill building which includes money management; medication management, individual/family/group therapy; supervised health and fitness program; nutritional mentoring by registered dietitian; and daily groups dealing with schedule maintenance, decision making, leisure and responsibility.

The following book is very informative in looking at the Black Campus Movement of the 1960s and how it led to Black empowerment models and programs.

Very good question my Brother...and here's what I see on a national and international level as it regards our people with emphasis on both sides of the Atlantic. First of all, as I stated so well before...there are two sets of our people here in this land just as there was in the distant past. The first set of our people are as follows:

SET ONE
There are those of our people who acknowledged that the deaths of our ancestors who built this country and fought and died in its wars, justifies our struggle in this country to obtain equality and justice through a system that we did not establish, that is not structured for our upliftment or our return to to who we once were and potentially can be on the worlds sage of life. This set of our people ain't trynna hear jack about going back to Afraka or anything outside of our present reality. This set is the set that believes that we can rise and take this country over and get it on the right track if we involve ourselves in its structure, political processes and economic system with focus on our communities, education and unity as a people. This is also the vision of our ancestors from the 1800's and early 1900's who often became the black boules and answered to the king back then as they do now.

This set was the set that used to live in our communities in the 50's and early 60's due to the out and out discrimination and overt racism that reared its head whenever it felt like it. This was a time when our communities had teachers, doctors, dentist, police, firemen and all else living in our communities that served as a role model to our young even if they themselves did not know it. It was this set of our people who also moved out of our communities right next to their masters as soon as white people eased their overt racism and laws a little. As such, our communities no longer had the visual role models and examples for our young. Our communities no longer had the stores, dentist offices, doctors offices or anything else that constitutes a thriving community. This is something I speak on from personal experience because I grew up in such a community.

This set is the set that became involved in politics and had to and still have to answer to a higher power in the name of money and the glory of men. Oh, I almost forgot...not only did they leave our communities desolate, never to come back....they also married their masters daughters and sent their black babies to their schools while subconsciously promoting within their ranks that they were different than the rest of the black people. Even today there is a town in New Jersey called Gouldtown that is black...but guess what? I'm too dark to go in there and attempt to date one of their daughters!!! This set by the way, ain't trynna hear about no Afrakan history and have no interest in anything that will not enhance their pocket and will in fact use our history to do so if possible. So when people start saying things like; "whatever happened to the black community"?...go back and ask that first set. There is so much more and I'll get to the second set of our people as soon as I repair a brothers boiler system down the block....so I will return to this and finish this today.

Despite my criticism of set one, set one and two actually compliment each other and need each other as I will reveal on my return.

SET TWO

Set Two of our people is an interesting set. They are interesting because initially the second set once belonged to the first set in many degrees. Set two was basically a developed set of Black people, who upon learning certain aspects of our history wanted to see how far the rabbit hole actually went. As the second set began to actually see how far the rabbit hole went as well as the importance of the hole itself as it related to life, our history, who we are, what we did, how we got in this situation and more....the second set subconsciously began to rebel against their existence in this country as their vision, knowledge base, understanding and spirit began to expand beyond the boarders of the dominant society in search of the truth on as many levels as they could relate to or comprehend.

As such, the second set began to let go of their manufactured existence in many respects in lieu of what was snatched, robbed, stolen and taken from our people historically, culturally, spiritually and economically. In essence, the second set was no longer content with being allowed to participate or become a player in the system that the first set had no problem with. Somewhere along the way the second set of our people began to see and understand that the first set was a problem, not only in the past but in the present as well. Many of our people understood and understand why the first set of our people were and are a problem simply because the second set of us were once a part of the first set....a set that they no longer could relate to or wanted to relate to unless it was to enlighten them.

Over time the second set began to truly understand that the first set was a set that had no desire within themselves to return to who we were and are as a people for many reasons. With some it was a matter of conditioning. With others it was a matter of being acknowledged by the dominant society as being different from the rest of us even though they were not. With others it was a matter of the cheddar that they were being paid that afforded them comforts and a sense of prestige that they did not have in relating to the body of our people.

The law of manumission in 1710 was the beginning of our people snitching on each other in this country as the black snitch was being given liberties and money for snitching on those of us who chose to rebel against the dominant society or who desired to be free of it. From that point on there has not been a rebellion or rise of our people whereby a black person didn't snitch. Slowly a divide was being created within our people whereby we began to distrust each other and began to watch each other simply because we no longer knew who was who or who we could trust. This is where terms like "house Ninja, uncle tom, sambo" and more began to take root with our people as we began to judge each other based upon our actions towards the dominant society that was playing all of us even though the first set didn't see it that way.

The problem with set number two is that the majority of them have been so engrossed in the recovery of who we are that they didn't move beyond the study or research level to one of action. Tomorrow I will continue this post with "what the level of action must be as well as how the first set of us and the second set have no choice but to build a bridge with each other providing that the second set returns to Afraka. Anything less than what I will be speaking on will result in the demise of not only the first set of our people but the second set as well.

Peace!! Hetep!!

An interesting perspective, but why do ANY of US have to go anywhere when our African ancestors [and their tortured, mutilated and murdered siblings] bought our stake in the benefits on offer to citizens here or anywhere else we choose to be in the USA, UK rest of the Diaspora 10 times over with their hundreds of years of unpaid labour, blood, sweat and tears?

Isn't ANYONE who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?

Haven't YOU noticed the way the destruction of the GAP community of Tulsa on June 1st 1921 is still marginalised and ignored by the mainstream miseducation system TODAY?

The Greenwood, Archer and Pine community of Tulsa is STILL a truly superb template of the WAY TO GO in the 21st century as opposed to an armed conflict which would provide these PARASITES with the pretext they'd like for wiping ALL of us out, wouldn't it?

Like the Black Panthers WE definitely NEED to utilize our constitutional right to bear arms to protect our communities but even more crucially don't WE NEED to take over the schooling of our youth in general, the History curriculum being taught at ALL levels in particular, to curb the ongoing pollution of our knowledge base with the Euro-centric GARBAGE as opposed to TRUTH that we previously had no option other than to ingest?

Would you also concede that being CRUSHED and marginalized as sub human in your homeland by STRANGERS who have conquered YOU and YOUR country and made it theirs, which is exactly what Colonialism did to Africa and Africans; is comparable or possibly even more spiritually and intellectually traumatizing and debilitating than the HOLOCAUST which enslaved/delivered my ancestors and [their tortured, mutilated and murdered siblings] over 35 million others to the USA and the rest of the Diaspora in general [Guyana with regard to ME specifically]?

Can you NOW relate to why the peoples of African ethnicity in general, in the USA and the rest of the Diaspora along with the Africans in Nigeria, South Africa and the rest of Africa in particular NEED the so uplifting TRUTHS of an African centred History Curriculum as the core of resurrecting both the individual and collective self esteem necessary to kick start the African Renaissance in the 21st century?

Isn't the FACT that our Boulé dominated socio-economic elite [AUTOMATONS, have you read Steven Cokely's exposé of these CLOWNS] in the USA and the rest of the Diaspora are even more STUPIDLY lost and confused, than the lower echelons that they are supposed to be intelligently leading as opposed to selling out for pieces of silver, an ongoing liability with regard to the African Renaissance in the 21st century?

When are WE going to fully update the History Curriculum taught in our communities in the USA, UK and the Diaspora and even more critically in AFRICA TODAY at ALL levels with the works of Dr Ivan van Sertima They Came Before Columbus, The African Presence in Ancient America (circa 1200-400 BCE) and Blacks in Science, Ancient and Modern etc; or even the still alive Anthony T Browder's Nile Valley Contributions to Civilization as ready made textbooks?

Given the example of how successfully the Asians in general, the Japanese, and even the formerly colonised Chinese and Indians have coped with this burden with comparatively limited natural resources in a consistently hostile environment, with even their communities in the Diaspora outperforming OURS; isn't the so consistently CLUELESS performance of our socio-economic elite an ongoing DISASTER?
Isn't the functional intelligentsia of any ethnicity responsible for deducing the strategic policies for moving the group forward collectively [whereas many of us are expecting our underclass to be the first on the planet to do so]?

Even the well meaning members of our Elite like Cosby, Oprah, and many other actors/celebrities do not have the resources spiritually or intellectually or focus to perform this function by themselves, but at least some of them are trying, EH?

You don’t see the current administration relying on Bill Gates, Donald Trump or any of their IT/Business leaders to organise the USA’s social and political leadership and direction, though I must concede I know they would do a much better job than the retarded dimwits who were pulling G.W Bush's strings who are now doing the same with Obama, aren't THEY?

Moving our elite from their current dysfunctional state or forming a new one which is rationally intelligently functional for our collective best interest is OUR greatest challenge of the 21st century, because as highlighted by the ongoing African HOLOCAUST of over 500 years now isn't it obvious that brilliant individuals will ALWAYS be just VICTIMS IN WAITING when existing/warring/competing with intelligently organised and led collectives [this isn’t conjecture, we’re living it aren’t WE, JUST LOOK AROUND]?

Isn’t ANYONE who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?
