Black Haiku : THE TASK AT HAND

deep depression of
men , women of color in
the struggling world

we may face it at
birth born into submission
tugging away life

but faith within is
my keeper not a massa
but the grace of GOD

someday somehow and
someway we shall overcome
as people in hold

Overcoming self
Becoming one with the Lord
Seeing the rebirth

Knowing all we are
But loving us anyway
Unity in prayer

Kings and Queens unite
In a class act of sharing
majestic treasure

Knowing ones blessings
inspite of the twist and turns
Still there's compassion

I raise my eyes up
My soul embrace's his grace
He cleanze out my heart

He says, live today
I'll still be there tomorrow
I'll always love you

He is my father
The force that drives me onward
I'll rest in his hands

all walks of life is
our solo goal to bonding
as one kings and Queens

forth the faith in thy
father above whom knows within
our pure struggle

oppressed and thought second best
scorned and degraded

my soul rises up
gets stronger from the pressure
turn bad into blessing
