The melody in the scratch and rasp
inspiration in the anguished soul
who offers resilience--in those old songs
life comes to bloom in monotony
as the toil bears its fruit
in a libidinous undulating rhythm.

Hail rained a menace that morning
amidst the thunder's boom and bellows.
As I stood before the window
my tears wormed out--lightning
slashed my world to chaos
she listened to nothing
she told me to leave--indifferent
to the whirlwinds and tsunamis
battering my innards--drowning
my mind--I convulsed with hysterics
laughing at the lack of a riddle.
Savage rains--anger, self-doubt
and an agonized smile.

No more bleating on my window
let this storm in my soul die down.
Bleeding--I lay entranced
dreaming the nightmares come real.
Laughter announces the misery
imagined by the monomaniac
anxious--deluded--exhausted.

Sun breaking cloud, love's awakened
her beacon--hope
the song grinds on
I skip to its chop
smiling at the game
as love moves on...
