How do you bring yourself to say something
You've held in for so long
I haven't told you before
Not sure you'd accept my song
I've held my tongue for many years
I've had so many fears
Instead of my tongue, I long to hold you
I've requested it in my prayers

This isn't my time for pride
This is my moment of truth
I put it all on the table
I can no longer keep you aloof
You've lived in my heart
Since the first day that I met you
I tried to evict you
Let you go, but my heart won't let you

This kinda love
I swear I never knew
Not only the one my heart desired
But also part of the crew
And let me clear up one thing
When I said you're one of the fellas
I only said that because your ex was present
Didn't want to make him jealous

But in truth
All I want is for you to be happy
I want you to have true love
Even if it's not with me
Just your mere presence sometimes
Makes me feel like a little kid
I feel you supported me
In everything that I did

I even got married
Man I wished you'd ask me not to
I figured there's no chance
But at least as a friend I've got you
I bet you don't even know
That i'm talking to you
But it's true, listen to your heart
Look at all we've been through

My God, we've been through ups and downs
Your relationships, mines
Sometimes I've seen your heart get broken
Though I felt it was mine
I wish that I could see the future
Queen of my heart you've been
Upon that fateful day
Edit you last name to mine to stay

Until the end of time
Respect you, never neglect you
Treat you like a lady
Hold your hand, I come correct boo
Ever since I met you
Others don't appeal to me as much
No one matches your beauty
Every day I crave your touch

This is the poem of my heart
Like a caged bird, i'm setting it free
I guess one day I'll tell you in person
That's the way it should be
Sometimes I wonder if you ever
Feel the same for me
But you don't even know I feel this way
So how could this be
