Bill Clinton incorporated Reich's thinking into his 1992 campaign platform, "Putting People First," and after being elected invited Reich to head his economic transition team. Reich later joined the administration as Secretary of Labor. During his tenure, he implemented the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), successfully promoted increasing the minimum wage, successfully lobbied to pass the School-to-Work Jobs Act, and launched a number of job training programs. At the same time, he lobbied Clinton to address and pushed for improvement of conditions for those in poverty.[citation needed]

If there were more folks like him that refused to sell out, Rubin would not have been able to Destroy Glass Steagall or work with Ginrich to create GATT and NAFTA
and millions of Black families would not be unemployed, or facing foreclosure from illegal subprime mortgages
This super team is a bunch of super hype since the members of both parties are corporate shills, dressed in elected official clothing.
At this late date the citizenry are getting tired of the president putting on these little circuses to fool the public and get them to forget,
that he long ago desired to slash, medicaid, medicare and social security

Bipartisan “Supercommittee” Fails to Agree on Federal Deficit
The bipartisan so-called "supercommittee" has failed to reach an agreement on reducing the federal deficit. On Monday, Democrats and Republicans abandoned their effort for a sweeping deal after three months of talks failed to bridge deep divides over taxes and spending. A trigger of $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts over 10 years to military and domestic programs takes effect in 2013. President Obama faulted Republicans for the impasse.
