Passing Of Sands

As I sit hear in limbo staring
at the haunting shape of the hour glass.

I wallow in my thoughts of sanity
Has madness corrupted my mind?

Every grain of sand representing
my brothers and sisters, as it is
devoured through the maze like shape
in the cyrstal clear glass.

Every ounce of hope screaming
for the unity of my people.
Wanting them to bind together
and form a fortress of mass
alliances.

Defeating the hole that
swallows their souls hopelessly down
to the bottom pit of despair

With every grain that passes through
I see a life that is full of
so much potential, washed away
by the swaying of the currents

A life as pure as the first breathe
of a new born infant
A life filled with infinite possibilites
of paths and purpose

Sure as the sky kisses the Sun, Moon,
and Stars with an unconscious ability
The reign of my people most too
caress their beginings

When the last grain of sand passes
through the hole of lost purposes,
My heart falls on deaths ear

As my heart explodes and comes
to a wretched hault for at least 5 seconds,
darkness parades my existance
as a firey boil of tears escapes my
swollen eyelides and spirals down
my sulking face

My people! My people! I cry out.
Unable to face the reality of a nation lost
a resonate sound protrudes against my breast
causing an eruption in my heart
restoring life back unto me.
A since of hope

I reach out to grasp the hour glass of time
in an attempt to restore humanity
I desperatly turn the glass over
to created a new beginning

To give my people a second chance
A chance to not become a passing grain of sand
