I can't even tell you what this unplugged performance did for me as an artist..
talk about impact.. the entire street music scene changed just like that..
the coffee house open mic scene transformed completely.. because lauryn
decided to put the facade aside and show us who she was.. she showed us
her mistakes.. her humanity.. her honesty.. and that enabled a bunch of us
to do the same.. I don't think she even knows what she did with this.. and
that's why it's so beautiful.

Hands down my favorite female mc's. She's always been nicer than many fella's in the rap game, so she could qualify to be on that top ten list too.

She used to demolish wyclef on stage when they would start to freestyle. She is so smooth and intellectual with it that she would be dancin' around while she was flowing and have me stuck, waiting for the next verse to come out of her mouth because i knew i wanted to make sure i caught it because it was going to go over most of her audiences head....
