I woke up this morning and I realized that I need to leave
don’t know why it has taken so long to realize that
we are two different and our worlds will never emerge
to become one.

My heart exploded months ago like a fire cracker on the
fourth of July with no answers to the unresolved questions
I had of your lustful episodes and lies.

I woke up and the sun kissed my face where the night before
the moon was staring at the tear stained traces, traces of the last
encounter, the ruffled bed of deception that altered the truth
to another level of reality in our worlds.

I woke up this morning and was glad that the monkey was
off my back, the needle was out my arm and
loves hangover can now be a memory of the past.
