Poetry woke me up this morning,
thump, thump, bump, bump...
I felt the rhythm I felt the rhyme,
syncopating beats of life
from this young heart of mines.
I turned to my Queen to see
if she had heard it too...
then I whispered oh so softly,
one beat for me, one beat for you.
I looked out my window,
then heard another beat...
tweet tweet, chirp chirp,
went the birds on the street...
Tweet tweet, chirp chirp,
thump thump, bump bump,
a JB beat that made me want to jump!
Ah shucky ducky, I had to record this,
when suddenly I heard two lovers kiss.
One mic out the window another on my chest,
poetry in motion with nature at its best!
tweet tweet, chirp chirp,
thump thump, bump bump...
hearts, birds and lovers,
make a young boy want to crunk!
Don't know how my day is gonna be,
but now I hear the rhythm of wind blown trees!
whoosh whoosh, thump thump,
tweet tweet, chirp bump,
whoosh whoosh, thump thump,
tweet tweet, chirp bump...
Clearly it's early and a new day is dawning,
all because poetry woke me up this morning!
