With a capacity for complacency
a combatant seeks
protection from
soothing breezes and
sun-warming
altitudes
that move stale winds
between
ten fingers
Palms held upward
world-weary lines
find forgiveness
inside of veins
Restoration flourishes
then nourishes
to the roots
cleansing from within

I see parallels between
myself and thee

and from this earth I cry
prayers of longevity
I release my worries
from finger tips
and parted lips
these arms
are opened wide
taking in
all that He has
given me

For my praises --
He
is worthy
for His love
has made
me more than just
an ordinary tree
-- an extra ordinary
living thing
Now and forevermore
I will live and die with
my hands against the sky

mud adheres to my shoes but love steers me to the blues, like college and university got knowledge and I'm thirsty // well MADD show some love to the poets, glad to hun this thug know it girl i been criticize but in the end i recognize there are blue skies and true lies // my hands against the sky now I understands what it's like to fly like birds in herds my thoughts wing and many times caught wearing hot bling-e-bling not a ding-a-ling but try to do my thing
