Bro.GM,
Stephen King wrote most of his books while high on cocaine and other drugs. I thought I would throw this little bit of trivia into the discussion.

Bro.Blackbird,
Great thread!

I cannot for the life of me remember the title of this book but the sister named Tananarive Due has a book about being married to an alien (a brother) from another planet.....somebody help me out with this....

Greetings Bro. GeorgeM,

The book you're thinking about is My Soul to Keep http://www.tananarivedue.com/MySoulToKeep.html.

Tananarive followed that up with The Living Blood and most recently Blood Colony.

Now, Tananarive's husband, Steven Barnes, http://darkush.blogspot.com/
is a brotha DEEP into metaphysics. Check his books out.

I met them both years ago, and they have a powerful energy when they are together. It's an honor to have met them.

Peace,
Belsidus

Check out the Vampire Huntress Legend Series by L. A. Banks. The sister drops some serious metaphysics in her books. They are as follows:

Minion
The Awakening
The Hunted
The Bitten
The Forbidden
The Damned
The Forsaken
The Wicked
The Cursed
The Darkness
The Shadows
The Thirteenth (February 2009)

Check out the books and the especially the back story at http://www.vampire-huntress.com/leslie.html.

Peace,
Belsidus
