Drifting
in shades of oranges,
browns, and dark mocha's
tinged with streaks of maroon,
I dream of
nights under a slate grey moon,
surrounded by the warmth of
a
natural burning red fire
to keep the navy colored chill
from freezing me.
Drifting in
dreams of psychadelic
purples and indigo's, surrounded
by golden dancing go-go's; and almost
seduced by ganja-induced
trances and reefer filled advances where vibrant colors
greet the flow I heat;
with the distant sound of opium obscure beats.
I am Black Orpheus,
vocalist of songs drenched in rich wine hued,
dark scarlets and wine-colored
brown's descanting the song's of
Earth's pleasure and sorrow.
I begin in the night and continue on
into tomorrow,
lounging in the eternal light of day.
Palm branches pave my way as I drift
deep within the bounds of this overcast
reality,
never really abandoning the visceral,
but prefering to escape this dry reality.
While drifting in earth tones,
I am confronted with the real me.

Sis Cherryblossom,
hoping that you are at peace where ever you may be.
