I knew Brotha Baller would be on time

we are the leaders...
the protectors
of this human race
will fight to protect our space
all up in your face
for the YOUNG ONES sake

our ancestors LIVED
they DIED
they CRIED "rivers and stream" tears
that you and i might live (on)
to be strong
to pass on
knowledge and strength
that makes the world think
that gives them cause to think
that open their eyes to the stink
of the system we live in
injustice heaped upon
my ebony-hued skin
won't bend
don't want to let us win

BUT WE CAN'T LOSE

as this village steps up and choose
the path our children walk
that "BLACK-on-BLACK" hatred
will cease in their talk

THEY LIVED
THEY CRIED
THEY DIED
that this might be
you and i
eternally.
