Black Poetry : Ain't Nuthin' Like A Dark Skinned Man

No other skin reflects the light
Of the true and living God.
No other man like him,
Captures the eye of a woman’s heart.
He’s an all natural chocolate delight,
Lingering in a woman’s mind,
After he’s well out of her sight.

Ain’t nuthin’ like a dark skinned man.

His voice can be thunderous
Without relent.
Yet smooth as silk
In a passionate moment.
Who can blow a note like him,
If he should be blessed to sing....

...Ain’t nuthin' like a dark skinned man.

The glimmer in his eyes,
No star in heaven defies.
The groove in his walk,
A rhythm without fault.
No other smile can
Reveal such beautiful tiles.
...There’s no better built man
By natural definition,
Earning him the praise
Of a woman’s recognition.
He is envied and despised
By men of all races,
As he commands attention
In any room he graces.

When the angels saw God form him,
From the dust of the land,
They said...

Ain’t nuthin' like a dark skinned man.

A Black Sista's Thang!

YEEees!!!

This is like an Ode to my sons!

Wow!

...The high yellas
Are the most peculiar fellas....

A Black Sista's Thang!

But this is my husband though, and yeah, he might be peculiar because at times, he can act like Malcolm X or Dr. Martin, but he's one gorgeous brother too. Without him I would not have my beautiful chocolate sons.

Love this poetry. It's beautiful.
