Until men like Kem learn to take responsibility, there's always going to be this problem in the community. I'll never understand the whole running in circles, trying to get to the "root" of why they abandon their children, throwing blame on the woman arguments. It ain't even gotta be all that complicated.

The arguments are valid on both sides. Black men need to take care of the children they help procreate and Black women need to make sure they are actually procreating with responsible men. The problem in our communities is that the men and the women are irresponsible, and as such children are being brought into this world by unfit parents. The unfit fathers run from their responsibility, the unfit mothers continue to procreate with the same sort of unfit men. It is a cycle that requires both genders to fix.

No, black men need to be responsible men more than anything. The arguments are definitely not equally valid.

You all give many(most?) black women no choice but to procreate with unfit men or be single and childless or date out because the "fit" ones tend to run away with non-black women. Men are supposed to be leaders of their community; leaders take responsibility. They do not go back and forth in arguments with those they are supposed to lead trying to shift blame because they can't face their own shortcomings.

This debate is tired. The black American man needs to step up. Period.
