Black People Politics : WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

:SuN042::qqb012::qqb012::qqb012::qqb012::qqb019::playball:

Let me make this clear, there is no requirement in the rules f Destee that some one has to start instiutions to make comments or be concerned about black nationmalism or pan Africanism

Now I have done many things that you more then likely could not do or would not have the capacity to do,
since being a graphic artist for the board of education for over 7 years,

and no I have never started an institution

BUT FROM WHAT I SEE HERE

I WOULD NOT DESIRE TO START ON

E OR WANT TO START ONE

IF IT TURNED ME INTO An EGOTISTICAL, SELF CENTERED HATER , FULL OF NEGATIVITY, ADN WITH A FANATICAL AND SEEMINGLY HOMOSEXUAL FETISH

TO CONCENTRATE ON ANOTHER MAN RATHER THEN ADDRESS THE MYRIAD HORRORS THAT BLACK FOLKS FACE ACROSS THE GLOBE

Now that I have answered your question,

what was your purpose for raising an old post started with a statement form me tacken out of context??????:10500::10500::10500::10500:

For BLACK PEOPLE to make progress as a National political body we must look at ourselves with a spirit of self-criticism which allows us to purge ourselves of reactionary elements and tendencies so we can develop pro-active strategies and solutions.

Therefore, I ask is the quote above a true statement?

Who among us has ATTACKED "the idea and concept of a national Black political agenda"?

Secondly, who, in setting a national agenda, has determined that a fundamental objective is to "put our folks in the senate"?

Is "putting our folks in the senate" a strategy that will lead us to self-determination and national liberation?

For the record, this does not qualify as an "old thread". It was authored last month.

Are the questions raised outdated and irrelevant?

Have the questions raised been answered?

Oh well...when someone can come here and divert attention from questions with personal innuendo and outright insults to one's character and sexuality it is no longer worth the effort or time trying to address these issues or concerns.

EVEN THOUGH WE SEEMINGLY HAVE ONE OF OUR OWN HOLDING THE HIGHEST APPOINTED OFFICE IN THE LAND WITHIN A WHITE SYSTEM.....

I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING ANYTHING WILL GET DONE AT THAT LEVEL ON OUR BEHALF WITHOUT US AS A PEOPLE PUTTING OUR FOOT DOWN COLLECTIVELY TO INITIATE THE CHANGES.....

UNTIL WE STOPPED RIDING THE BUSES , STARTED WALKING ABREAST INSTEAD OF SINGLE FILE , AND KEEPING OUR MONEY IN OUR POCKETS....THE NATURE OF EACH ONE OF THOSE RELATIONSHIPS HAD NOT CHANGED....( as said by Dr. Amos Wilson )...

IF ONLY WE CAN CHANGE OUR PERCEPTION OF OURSELVES.....SEE OURSELVES AS A NATION INSTEAD OF AS INDIVIDUALS....BECAUSE INDIVIDUALITY IS AT THE HEART OF OUR DIVISIONS I BELIEVE...AND TELEVISION IN MY OPINION SOLIDIFIES THOSE DIVISIONS...

I AM ALL FOR A BLACK NATIONAL POLITICAL AGENDA.....SO ALL OF OUR ISSUES CAN BE DEALT WITH AND CHECKED OFF AS WE DEAL WITH THEM ONE AT A TIME....THIS WAY , EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE...

ON ANOTHER NOTE....I ALSO BELIEVE NO MATTER HOW MANY AFRICANS WE GET INTO THE SENATE , THE POWER STRUCTURE CAREFULLY SELECTS THEM AND ASSIGNS INDIRECT RESISTENCE TO THEIR INITIATIVES....

IN OTHER WORDS....I HAVE NO FAITH WHATSOEVER IN THIS SYSTEM....BUT I AM WILLING TO WORK WITH ANY AFRICAN TO GET SOMETHING DONE ON OUR BEHALF.....THROUGH PATIENCE OF COURSE....

I agree on my points with one exception. Class warfare is already here. I just happen to live in a state where the political Left is pulling together, at most levels of government and the electorate, but also this is happening with a swing in Latino voters to the Left as well, which is driving this change. I can't say the same for states such as Georgia, with Tea Party "independents" taking over the governor's House. But at least the political Right is being challenged within.

I think those of you in states like Illinois, Penn, Ohio and Florida, especially traditional "liberal" strongholds are now on the frontline of having to strategize against these rightist gains.

More later.

The Latino voting bloc showed up as predicted in the key battleground states and helped swing the selection process away from the right wing backlash.

Yet, the economy is headed towards what Obama refers to as an "economic cliff".

It seems that his reconciliatory tone indicates a possible embrace of "conviction politics".

We shall see how effective this will be...
