Black People Politics : WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

i think it will be going back to the streets.

with the corporations controlling the government there will be little recourse for the common man.
street war is coming again. (see france) this time it will be nasty.

it is important that black people form an organizational structure to co ordinate.
we going to have to give up the flame wars for the real wars. brothers got to stop fronting.

we cannot do it on our own either.

we will need to work with latins, native americans and leftist whites also. omowalejabali is right on this point.
i don't much like working with the other groups but we gotta do what we gotta do.
i don't have the strength to do a lot anymore but i will do what i can.

class war is coming.

I agree on my points with one exception. Class warfare is already here. I just happen to live in a state where the political Left is pulling together, at most levels of government and the electorate, but also this is happening with a swing in Latino voters to the Left as well, which is driving this change. I can't say the same for states such as Georgia, with Tea Party "independents" taking over the governor's House. But at least the political Right is being challenged within.

I think those of you in states like Illinois, Penn, Ohio and Florida, especially traditional "liberal" strongholds are now on the frontline of having to strategize against these rightist gains.

More later.

like you said the flame wars and backbiting has to stop first

and on that note I wonder why my post was used

without qouting it

and qouting it out of context

as has been done about 8 times in 2 days, what is that about?

how does that help unity or progress/

thank you brother James, and as a real man , and member of DEstee for over five years you post some solutions and not just boring hisory classes to put folks to sleep

your focus is on the community rather then other members who as you say get a nut off of attacking black folks but when white folks come here and say they support the Tea Party.

they act like little lambs

One would assume that anyone who has been at Destee for more then 5 years consistantly and talks about the work they have done and the peole they know and their family and children would be on the front [page of Destee.com

with a Special group

dealing with community development upliftment and imrovement,
posting and suggesting solutions

that folks can try in their particular cvommunity, city then state

and then come back to the site and tell how things went, to get insight on how to improve certain things were there was difficulty in implementing the solution,

and encouragement for the successes of said solution,
so that the information provided could be a learning experience

and something that each reader can replicate in their own community with their block association or other Black organizations,
and then have dialogues with adjacent block associatios

such a process would in time create a viable resource,

so that the next step would be the establishment of setting up networks to support candidates with our interests and our agendas and using facebook and twitter,
to as the multilevel marketers do, as Imhotep Gary Byrd mentioned,
on WBAI yesterday, each person communicate with 5, 20 or 50 others and spread the message and the imperative regarding a candidate

public grassroots funding can work, and even compete with the corporate oligarchy chedda and the foreign funding, and it has been proven in Connecticut times,
heck we ate about 5 million in snacky chips since this morning around the nation, so e darn sure can channel such discretionary funds into something productive for the general good of the national Black community

but the focus and the heart has to be there first!

rather then get involved in senseless and tiresome flamewars
It is all a matter of focus,
such as what was the real focus of this post? to foster unity or raise questions already answered from the post were the qouted statement was taken from

My post!

For BLACK PEOPLE to make progress as a National political body we must look at ourselves with a spirit of self-criticism which allows us to purge ourselves of reactionary elements and tendencies so we can develop pro-active strategies and solutions.

Therefore, I ask is the quote above a true statement?

Who among us has ATTACKED "the idea and concept of a national Black political agenda"?

Secondly, who, in setting a national agenda, has determined that a fundamental objective is to "put our folks in the senate"?

Is "putting our folks in the senate" a strategy that will lead us to self-determination and national liberation?

Who among us has ATTACKED "the idea and concept of a national Black political agenda"?

Who among us has ATTACKED "the idea and concept of a national Black political agenda"?

Quote:
folks even attack the idea and concept of a national Black political agenda so
where is the energy focus and funds going to come from to put our folks in the senate?

That all depends on who made this statement and what was it in reference to

but realy what is the motive of this post and the point?:10500:
