TROY DALE WEST JR TRIAL SET FOR JULY 19, 2010
2010 -July 16 - UPDATE - TRIAL POSTPONED

Clayton County Solicitor Tracy Graham Lawson
"I am so ready to take this case to trial, but unfortunately
the judge continued the case because the defense attorney
got called to a federal trial. Federal cases take precedent
over state cases."

Troy Dale West, Jr.'s trial date is set for July 19th.
Clayton County Superior Court Judge Geronda V.
Carter will be presiding.

West, from Poulan, Georgia, of Troy's Paint & Body
& Auto Salvage is currently wearing an ankle
bracelet while awaiting trial. June 10, 2010, West's
attorney asked that the ankle bracelet be removed
but Judge Carter denied the motion.

THIS trial date has now been "postponed" until some time in October. :whip:

But, as for other people not coming to her aid, sadly that is something Black and White people do every day. People will witness someone getting beat down or harassed and not say a word. They'll just look or move away.

How many have seen the video of "Soulja girl" who threatened an old woman on the train in Atlanta and nobody on that train did a thing.

How many have seen the video of the man who beat a young girl in a McDonalds in LA...nobody did a thing.

How many have seen the video of a Black guy beating a 91 y/o man to steal his car...nobody did a thing.

This is because of the mob mentality. Ever heard of Kitty Genovese? Stabbed repeatedly until dead. The attacker came and went several times. People saw it in the apartments above. No one did anything because they thought someone else would.

When situations like these occur people look to each other for social cues. They hesitate, wondering who will take the initiative. The responsibility is difused and people feel less behooven to "do something about it".

This is why there are 8 executioners when the death penalty is executed. 8 executioners have 8 switches. But only one is the one that actually initiates the plunger and kills the inmate. This is done to allieviate guilt.

Yes, I have heard of K. Genovese.

But, when you say "plunger" and "switches" are you referencing "LETHAL INJECTION" or the "ELECTRIC CHAIR?"

That's confusing to me.

And most states don't use the Chair anymore.

I'm not sure if I meant the electric chair or lethal injections. I meant executions in general.
