The film is a great example of yesterday, today and tomorrow.. how the powers that be bully and oppress various peoples - while maintaining their elitist power. Here it is, spelled out in all it's glory.. but still, if Frank Baum crawled out of his grave to confirm the intended message of the movie, many folks still wouldn't believe it!

I still stick with my view that any time you write anything someone will take it and make it seem as if its something else. Its how everything is done in this world.. people always feel there is an underlying intent and dig until they can make relations upon it to turn it into something bad. Now some things might actually be subliminal messages but alot of the interpretations are wrong.. I would relate this to how it applys to the guilded age as well but its simply too much for me to get into and its not hard for one to research themselves.
