    In the Spirit of Finance,

The white élites who fund Black Lives Matter

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement began in 2013 with the use of the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media, after the acquittal of half-Latino George Zimmerman in the shooting death of black Trayvon Martin. In 2014, BLM attained national prominence for its violent street demonstrations and protests after the police-involved deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson and Eric Garner in New York City.

... BLM might have been founded by blacks, but the movement requires money to operate — for protest signs, bull horns, and transportation of protesters to protest sites. The national scope of BLM requires an infrastructure, which includes regular communication among BLM activists. Who pays for their phone calls, faxes, iPhones, and Internet? How can BLM activists do all that if they also work at a regular job? And if they don’t have a regular job, who is paying for their food and lodging and transportation?

In other words, who actually fund Black Lives Matter and therefore are responsible for the violence, deaths, and injuries of BLM protests?

    The answer: two groups —

      • Democracy Alliance, comprised of very wealthy Democrats.
      • Freedom Road Socialist Organization, funded by big corporations and foundations ...

Major donors consider funding Black Lives Matter

Activists for the protest movement are meeting in secret with liberal funder club.

... “Major donors are usually not as radical or confrontational as activists most in touch with the pain of oppression,” said Steve Phillips, a Democracy Alliance member and significant contributor to Democratic candidates and causes. He donated to a St. Louis nonprofit group called the Organization for Black Struggle that helped organize 2014 Black Lives Matter-related protests in Ferguson, Missouri, over the police killing of a black teenager named Michael Brown. And Phillips and his wife, Democracy Alliance board member Susan Sandler, are in discussions about funding other groups involved in the movement ...

    Nice review of BLM

Yet, as the saying goes ---chyt walks, money talks. Meaning if we AIN'T controlling it with our OWN dollars its a ventriloquist act back 2 front, inside out, upside down and right side up!

It has been 53 years since the last racial blowout and nothing has changed except the method of brutality. BLM was never and will never be the answer!

O'Reilly Discusses 'Black Lives Matter' Funding, Including Soros and Supporters Jay-Z and Beyoncé

On his Tuesday night show, with the help of Kelly Riddell of the Washington Times, Bill O'Reilly of Fox News described how the "Black Lives Matter" movement sustains itself. The rest of the press wants readers, listeners and viewers to presume that it is a self-sustaining, grass-roots movement. It isn't.

O'Reilly also noted that megastars Jay-Z and Beyoncé, numbers 28 and 29, respectively, on the Forbes list of top-paid celebrities, are supporting the movement, which describes itself as "grass-roots" but is really the ultimate in Astroturf. Also at the end of this post, following up on one I did on ESPN's Stephen A. Smith last week, I have posted Smith's original six-minute radio-show rant on how selective and tyrannical the movement is ...

    Transcript:

BILL O'REILLY: Factor investigation segment tonight. A group that calls itself "Black Lives Matter."

One leader of the crew, Alicia Garza, issued a statement that says, "When we say Black Lives Matter, we are talking about the ways in which Black people are deprived of our basic human rights and dignity. It is an acknowledgment black poverty and genocide is state violence" ...

Who Is Funding Black Lives Matter

... More than 50 organizations have already registered their support, but one, in particular, stands out. The Foundation added their voice to the growing chorus of supporters, in the strongest possible terms.

“That's why now is the time to stand by and amplify movements rooted in love, compassion, and dignity for all people. Now is the time to call for an end to state violence directed at communities of color. And now is the time to advocate for investment in public services--including but not limited to police reform--together with education, health, and employment in communities and for people that have historically had less opportunity and access to all those things” ...

Why Black lives matter to philanthropy

    What philanthropy can do—and learn

The Movement for Black Lives has created an opportunity for philanthropy to see and learn from new and dynamic forms of social justice leadership and infrastructure. To support and fund this thriving movement, philanthropy itself has had to adapt. Meanwhile, leaders have kept donors’ good intentions in check with candid reminders of how philanthropy can hurt a movement, as well as how it can help. Listening and learning is central to Ford’s approach, as we strive to be a thoughtful, effective social justice funder at this critical time.

By partnering with Borealis Philanthropy, Movement Strategy Center, and Benedict Consulting to found the Black-Led Movement Fund, Ford has made six-year investments in the organizations and networks that compose the Movement for Black Lives ...

... These are the reasons we support the Movement for Black Lives ...
