I need a break
from the work and the kids
from the haggles of this biz
from my thoughts and my words
and the struggle to just endure
I need a break
I'm not complaining or facsinating
but hot **** theres no creating
no time to unwind, to get blind
always thkning bout this world i designed
yet i would never rewind time
i just need a break
a time to think bout the next hot mess
the next big life stress
the thoughts id like to repress
but, at the end, i always acquiesce
I need a break
a hot minute to run free
to break away from me
to let someone else referee
the drama hanging from my family tree
i just need a break
