Black Poetry : my sisters

you never realize just how much you
love your sisters
until you're 3000 miles away
and you have a tiny space of time
to reflect on how you wish things
could be
pushing aside any negativity that
may exist and think
wouldn't it be wonderful if we all
lived in the same town and we
made it a point to meet at church
and sit together and pass notes
during church while our children
occupy themselves with doodling on paper
and on sunday mornings we'd
drop the kids at mom's house and
go to starbucks just to sit and
relate and just be together
like we do now only on special
occasions...
i love my sisters they relate to me in different
ways because they're different
people but i love them both
the same
and i miss them.
