I once meet an elderly woman​

That jaywalked on a corner​

That was known to be heavy w/​

Foot Patrol​

So tht meant it was none she could get a ticket​

So one day she got tht ticket she couldn't fit n2 her budget.​

I talk 2 her @ tht bus stop all the time​

I asked well why u/ do it then miss?​

Simply but grandly she began to explain​

Back in my day honey we looked both ways & crossed​

Whenever the traffic had stopped cummin so heavy.​

You be dun had 2 whole conversations with your partner in crossing which caught ya up on the daily time.​

Then the city come and lights start twichting w/ them pictures then folks was going w/ the posses.​

So then until this ticket this was about how I got into jaywalkin'​

But it all seems to be when & when not to cross them possess.​
