January 5th, was a landmark in my life
January 5th, brought consequnces sharp as a knife

January 5th, I trusted a man with my body
After January 5th, He treated me like a nobody

January 5th, I thought I was grown as far as I was concerned
After January 5th, I realized I had a lot to learn

On January 5th, My heart was free and pure
After January 5th, My heart became insecure

January 5th, my love warmed and smiled
After January 5th, tears created rivers miles wide

January 5th, I confused love for lust
January 5th, it was "In Him I Trust"

Januray 5th, I didn't wait til I was married
January 5th, I got sumthing that he carried

January 5th, I opened my legs and closed my eyes
After January 5th, A blood test showed me quite a surprise

January 5th will effect the rest of my life
I gave up my soul in exchange for 1 night

I gave him one hundred percent, Gave him all I had...
Now ths n*ggas gone, I admit that still Im sad

You read my poems;say "get over it";"you'll get well"
Well, live in my shoes for once; THIS SH*T HURTS LIKE HELL!

It's been 6 months and I still remember that night
Down to EVERY detail(yep, you read me right)

The pain lessens and worses; it never goes away
But it know it's early, it will leave one day

I lost my childhood on January 5th, trying to be cute
Yet Gained nothing but a disease, and that n*gga gave me the boot

Ladies PROTECT YOURSELF, I'll say one more thing before I'm through......
"If it can happen to me, for sure it can happen to you.......
