funny how life is these days

everytime i am stuck in a bind
the lord steps in and shines
on me and my man and my sons and my house and stuff

and spiraling and twistin' and turning
and i walked away with my bootie swinging
i just started singing cause
i have a job and i make a way no matter what
and i baby sit other folks children
and i have 2 bunnies for pets

that was after i conducted a meeting with 25 people in it
and it made me laugh because i work for a sista
and she just wants the JOB DONE
and i am willing to do that for her
i see she needs protecting too
and then people ring my doorbell crying
and i say here, have a glass of alize
cause i flow that way
shoot, even the cleaning lady
she came to my door and said, i'll clean your entire home for x amount of dollars and she did such a good job
i had to hit her off with a little extra cause she is willing to do what she gotta do for her family too
but i am blessed i am blessed i am blessed
in these hard times and unemployment
and sometimes my paycheck looks like ****
but i got benefits
and i got a nice warm home
and a good fine black man
and i am blessed enough to sip on some alize
at the end of the day

cause life ain't so bad
