I Still Remember

I still remember her hands,
Cracking pecans at the kitchen table,
Stirring the filling of her millionaire pies,
Stuffing her turkey with onions and spice,
Pouring her coffee in a saucer to drink,
Washing dishes at the kitchen sink,
Pulling my cheek in for a kiss,
Holding me close because she was proud,
Rubbing,
Cooking,
Caressing,
Scolding,
Swatting,
Folding,
Nurturing,
Touching,
Loving,
I still remember her hands.
