Don’t make me promises
You don’t intend to keep
Don’t paint a pretty picture
Of love and forever
With washable water colors
Don’t whisper false hope in my ear
In the middle of the night
Make your actions stronger than your words
Comfort me when my heart aches
Hold me when my soul cries
Kiss the hurt and make it go away
Look me in the eyes
And tell me you love me
And mean it
Keep me close
Keep me safe
Keep me swaddled in love
Don’t make me promises
You don’t intend to keep

promise made promise kept
from da heart to da lover

I will love u right
forever hold u tight
keep u safe throughout da night

promise made promise kept

I won't paint a picture of water fade
but true color of what we made
their will be no pain
from the stain of my words
da whispers of night
is da caressness of my light
give da love one so need
comfort is what i'll feed
no false hope
i'm no joke
just relax for my gentle stroke
of love from above
promise made ...................

it's no joke how so many get caught up in the mist of myth
from the promise one so makes and then breaks to a heart
felt matter that shatters da dream of tenderly love
false hope to be caressed so many whispers da words yet
can't fulfill da reality of love i'm feelin dis piece deeply within.
