Trailer and new information released for COSMOS. Spoke with Neil deGrasse Tyson on facebook and he says he's blown away by this production.

I can't wait for this. Honestly 2014 is too far away. I want on that ship NOW!
Neil, you've come a long way since this:

I don't think anyone is inspiring more people to be interested in science today.

He's personable, he's knowledgeable, and he can break science down into laymen's language. To reach his position, he's obviously ambitious, on top of his game, yet does it all with a smile.

Question: Is this a series, or a Special (like they have with him on PBS)?

It's going to be a series.

I hope they can redo Connections too at some point.

Ah, nice! I hope it's longer than the original Cosmos. Cosmos was only 13 episodes...

I was content with the length of Cosmos because it seemed like a lot of thought and effort went into each one. That's my personal preference though. I know people who are driven mad by the fact that a lot of BBC shows only do like up to 6 episodes a season, but if it's a good show I watch.

I agree. I'm just the type of person who always wants more of this kind of programming. I literally watch nothing else on T.V. unless it's something like this or Sci Fi. Essentially anything to do with science and tech.
