Caramel Shell
from my book, Destiny's Theory
Bright hazel eyes
dark silky hair
long smooth legs
soft slender lips...
They all adorn her golden reflection
God must've created her
from the sands of Egypt
He must've dipped her body
in pools of Perfection
and crafted her face
from the shape of an angel's reflection.
But, He lost track of time
ran out of change
before He made another dime.
Looking at her from the Outside
His creation was truly divine
but internally she never developed,
her personality
always lagged a little behind.
She's only a caramel shell
beautifully fragile
delicate yet incomplete...
but she works what she has
she wears her beauty so well,
for now anyway
cause her clothing is slowly aging
gradually fading and becoming worn
eroding her exterior
and revealing her true form.
Ever wonder what will happen
when she grows old?
When her body softens
when her hazel eyes start to darken
when her face ceases to glow
and her smile turns cold...?
What then?
When the only love she's known,
"Superficial" leaves her
and all she's left with is an ugly soul?
Always remember that looks
are often deceiving
and though first impressions are very strong
they can be misleading.
So, before you begin
to look within your heart
and admire all the fire she inspired
start to perspire
take a step back,
and analyze your newly acquired desire,
place a small crease
through your beautiful masterpiece
ask yourself, "Is she totally complete,
have all the parts she possesses become whole?"
and listen to your mind
more so than your whoremones
if you honestly want to tell
whether you have
just discovered your Queen
or if you have just uncovered
another empty shell.
